The Way Things Are Organized
« on: November 29, 2019, 12:15:05 pm »
This post:
1. Is undecided as to relevance in current forum, so not official policy here
2. Is a historical post.

Ok, so this is the way I'm approaching things. Obviously other approaches are valid and welcome.

In the area that I am working on, please discuss fundamental issues separately from the theories that they will rely on.

If a theory depends on a "Law" from another thread, these stated "Laws" help readers consider the strengths and weaknesses of the theory you are presenting. A "Law" is an issue that is important enough to address while presenting a theory.

If you don't feel the "Law" as presented, is accurate or is missing some issue to consider, please add to it.

After considering the "Law" (as modified or as it stands) present your theory with it in mind.

So, for example, if you want to make a tangent driver argument, then you should address the issues raised against it in the "First Theory of Tangential Motion" when doing so.

When you discuss a theory that interacts with a "Law," link in the basic discussions from the "Law" and state your theory taking it into consideration.
