Usually, if a person feels like he/she could correct something, especially if that person is known for public speaking, he/she GOES ON THE MEDIA OUTLET AND TALKS.

Bill did not want attention. For obvious reason.

You think he should have gone on the media to correct a Reddit post saying he didn’t help with a tv show? That would seem like a colossal waste of time.
